¶ Macs and the Church
In the July 2008 issue of the Ensign (not yet available online) is an article entitled “Making Church Magazines.” It’s a fine article, lots of nice images. What’s interesting, though, is that every computer shown is a Mac.
Does that say something about the popularity of Macs or is there a deeper message there?

I would like to bear my testimony. I know that Macs are true.

The new, improved church IT department is worlds better than it was a few years ago. Admittedly, they still stream conference in Windows Media format, but the new FamilySearch gives me hope for the future. Not only does it run smoothly in Safari, it runs smoothly in Safari on my iPhone. I think we’re close to an encyclical reversing years of Microsoftcentrism by the church.
