5 January 2008¶ MoJo likes the Momos!

Is this an ongoing thread on this blog now? Perhaps. Still, I find it interesting that even Mother Jones, that bastion of loony liberalism, can find good reasons why Mormons are good for America. Here’s their lede: “Latter-day Saints are like the superheroes of Christianity: When disaster strikes, they spring into action. So why isn’t Mitt Romney bragging?”

Superhero? I’m getting a cape. And some awesome boots.

Meanwhile more than 50% of the Iowa caucus considered themselves evangelical Christians and they chose the downright spooky Huckabee.

It is becoming clear that Republicans hate Mormons. (That statement is not a joke. Republicans hate Mormons while most Mormons call themselves Republicans. This is not the end of the world, but it is a paradox.)

In related news. There was a caucus in Wyoming? Who knew? Why, except for tradition, should Wyoming be any less significant to the nation than Iowa?

  1. Did you catch Noah Feldman’s piece in the NYTimes?

I’d link it if I only knew how…
